The goal of the symposium was to highlight how recent fundamental advances in neuroimmunology and mast cell biology may provide a new future paradigm for drug discovery and development.

We were honored to have Dr. Brian Kim of Washington University chairing the symposium and Dr. Xinzhong Dong, HHMI Investigator and of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. Michelle E. Conroy of Harvard University, and Dr. Nicolas Gaudenzio of Inserm, each present on their work in mast cell biology and skin neuroimmunology, and its translational implications.
